This artwork caught my eye automatically. I love to see black and white photography with a splash of color. I see that there is more to interpret when artwork is shown like that. When I see the painting on the right, it gives me the sense that I am not alone. It leaves you with an eerie feeling that "There is more than you meet the eye", or "Things aren't always what they seem", or "Seeing isn't believing, believing is seeing.""Much of my work is intentionally vapid, but I don't intend it to be negative. I believe that meaning can't be created, only sought after. I view art as creating parameters under which to look for meaning." I love how he said this. What I got out of this quote is that he paints what he wants to and he sets certain parameters for the viewers to understand why he wanted to paint this. It still leaves his art up for interpretation, but he wants the people who view to leave with a certain feeling or thought.
